Death of an Ivoirian abroad

Death of an Ivoirian abroad

The loss of a loved one is always painful but, should it happen abroad, the need to resolve certain practical problems compounds that sorrow.

It is but natural that an Ivorian national would want to be repatriated to Côte d’Ivoire for his/her eternal rest.

In order to repatriate a corpse, the Consulate can offer logistic help by sending a request to the Ivorian authorities concerned to obtain a declaration of "non objection to receive the corpse". The cost for repatriating the corpse have to be bared by the family.

Procedure to follow after a death:

1.  Inform the Consulate

-› A document from Côte d’Ivoire authorities stating the permission to repatriate the corpse. This document will be needed to settle the repatriation with an airways.

Consular fee for the legalization of the Certificate of Death: 230AED/page
